Hurricane Wilma knocked out patio screens like a world champion boxer defeating his nemesis.
The force of the storm that hit Naples in 2005 shredded screens and twisted cages.
But Bonita Springs resident George Reiff, who lost parts of his screen during the storm, believes it doesn’t have to be that way.
He and two partners with Hurricorp LLC in Cape Coral are marketing an innovative product they believe will keep pool and patio screens standing in the ring after a powerful punch from a hurricane.
The product is called the Hurri-Screen, a removable screen panel that can be taken out when a storm threatens and temporarily stored in the house or garage.
