Fiberglass Screen Used for Craft

I have recently started using fine fiberglass screening for needlepoint since it has fine small holes, is easily purchased and is cheap. It occurs to me to ask, does using fiberglass product like this create a health risk?

I have it in by hands, rolling and handling it, also a needle and thread in and out of the mesh. I frequently experiment with odd materials like this. Any information as to the 'fiberglass' affect on me would be helpful.

I dont know of any health risks from handling fibrglass screening. Most north american screen mesh is made from fiberglass yarn with a fire retardant plastic coating.
